PDF metadata checker
PDF document properties may contain an author name, editing software, title, keywords and timestamps. XMP can store additional document metadata. The checker inspects both locally. Metadata cleaning does not remove page text, forms, comments, attachments or active code.
Supported formats and processing budgets depend on the tool. View limits · Understand the limitations.

No upload. No account. No AI service reading your document. Just a local check before you share.
Privacy details
Files and results stay in browser memory. We serve the app and its scripts; your hosting provider still receives ordinary site requests. Optional Google Analytics measures site visits after you allow it; our analytics events exclude file details and results. No remote maps are installed.

Can I inspect a password-protected PDF?
Password-protected PDFs are rejected. We do not request passwords or bypass encryption.
Does a clean copy mean my file is safe?
No. We remove only supported metadata and list what remains. Visible content and other unsupported information may still reveal private details.
Which files can I check?
JPG, JPEG, PNG, static WebP and supported HEIC photos; PDFs; DOCX, XLSX and PPTX Office files; and supported MP4/MOV videos. The screenshot editor accepts JPG, PNG and static WebP. Batches allow up to 10 files and 100 MB total. See Supported formats for each tool’s limits.
